We provide the white sleeve (and stickers) so that if you want to make a grab-and-go audio tag to accompany any gift; it’s really easy. But you can use the electronics to make your own talking greeting card or postcard. You can stick the electronics onto the cover or page of a scrapbook or any flat surface. All you have to do is create a graphic (or use one of the PLAY stickers) to mark the spot on the paper over the electronics aligned with the PLAY button.
If you’re not happy with the volume or clarity of your recording, experiment with holding the device closer or further away from your mouth and with lowering or raising your voice level… until you are satisfied.
Please note that you have to put the selector switch into REC position and press AND HOLD DOWN the button for the duration of your recording. You can release when you are finished recording or when you reach the capacity of the unit. Just put the selector switch into PLAY position and press the button momentarily to preview your message and make sure you like it.
The recorder was designed and optimized to record human voice. You can experiment with holding the recorder at varying distances from your speaker and also experiment with increasing and lowering the volume on your speaker to see if you can get acceptable results.
The batteries included with the unit are designed to play (and replay the message) over 300 times under normal usage. When the unit no longer plays the message, you need to replace the batteries. The adhesive used on the acid-free sleeve is not permanent so you should be able to open up the flap on the back of the sleeve to access the batteries. Use a flathead screwdriver to push the batteries out of the battery clamps and replace them with three fresh LR1130 alkaline button cell batteries. Be sure to insert with the positive (+) side facing up.

Yes. We designed the Voice Gift tag with a selector switch. Once the selector switch is in the PLAY position, the message will not get erased even if the tag is put in the mail and goes through sorting rollers used by the postal service.
60 seconds. You can record as many messages as you wish but to total length can’t exceed 60 seconds
Unfortunately not. Once a message is deleted it is regretfully, forever deleted.

The packaging came all dirty! Dirtying my hands and everything it touched. This was supposed to be a gift but it cannot be because it is so dirty. Surprised that this was even shipped like this. I would think whoever packed it would have the decency to at least wipe it down.
My wife has GBM stage 4. Used your device for recording family cooking secrets, in her own voice. Thank you for making it happen for us. One a 2 note, this would be a good project for people that are going to get the larynx permanently removed.

Easy to use
Loved how the tag recorded the message very clearly. The negative is that the message only lasted a little more than a day - now we press the button and nothing happens. Glad we didn’t record any sooner.
I bought this and ended up recording something for my young kid for his emergency bag at school. I was able to record what I hope is a very calming message that he can listen to in case of an emergency. It would be great for sending to family or friends in a care package as well.

I have a figurine of Dominick the Italian Christmas Donkey and wanted the song to be easily available to the grandkids with the push of button. I got this item, recorded 60 seconds of the song, hung it off his ear and now the kiddos walk by and push the button whenever they want to hear the song. Perfecto!

I got these for my cousins that are young and one struggles with reading. I figured this way, she didn't need to have someone read the card to her. They were easy to use and the sounds was fine! You can decorate them also.

This was easy to use. Except if you don't read directions. :) It says switch to record, then press and hold button. I pressed it and it didn't record. It really does mean press AND HOLD. release it when you are done recording. Then switch button to play. press button to play the message. Then it works fabulously. My granddaughter loved it when I sent her a clip of her own voice from my last visit, then added my own with an I love you message.

This recordable gift card was perfect and not too expensive. I was looking for something small and inexpensive and this was perfect. It was easy to use and I would by again.
Sound is not high quality compared to computer or cell phone. However, is plenty good enough for use as gift or to capture an event memory.
Originally got this to put in a card for a friend. Easy to use and pretty clear sound quality. We ended up using it for a recording we needed for a science fair project. It was perfect and wowed the judges that there was an interactive button on the project.
